Columbus Resident Wins Nation-Wide
Property Giveaway
ROMULUS, Mich., Sept. 24, 2002 - Nation-Wide Real Estate Discounters Corporation, the premier real estate investment training company, presented the title to a 1,600-plus square foot home located in Battle Creek, Mich. to Robert Martin of Columbus, Ohio free of charge today.
The property giveaway was part of a promotion for Nation-Wide's Renovate America Program, which systematically trains associates to locate and profit from distressed residential properties. Martin was announced as the winner at the Crowne Plaza Hotel during the final roundtable training session of a multi-state tour.
"This is a great opportunity for Robert Martin to broaden his experience in this industry and also make quite a bit of money since the property is being handed over to him completely free," said Ralph Santillo, senior acquisitions director for Nation-Wide.
Every registrant for the training sessions, which spanned three states including Ohio and Illinois, was eligible to win the Battle Creek property, located at 203 North Wood Street. The property could be viewed online at www.renovateamerica.com.
"I am really excited because this is the first time I have ever won anything," said Martin, an intervention specialist for Columbus Public Schools and part-time pastor. "Once I determine the market value of the home, I will proceed down the most profitable path using the training I received from Nation-Wide."
Nation-Wide's officers, directors, and in-house real estate experts have been in the business of acquiring, rehabilitating, and reselling distressed residential real estate since 1960, and have bought and sold hundreds of properties around the country.
After the Renovate America Program training, an associate has the option of submitting a qualified transaction to Nation-Wide for purchase consideration. Once being approved for purchase, the associate can elect to receive an assignment fee of 10 percent of the acquisition price, or they may joint venture with Nation-Wide and receive a percentage of the profits after Nation-Wide has renovated and resold the property.
