As key California disclosure law takes effect and U.S. Department of Energy best practices become industry norm, leading residential PACE provider launches new contractor management system
The following information is provided by Rick Bishop, executive director of the Western Riverside Council of Governments (WRCOG), which oversees the HERO PACE Program.
New, updated HVAC systems offer ways for homeowners to save energy, and therefor money in their wallets. But some homeowners may avoid updating their systems because they are afraid of what seems like a high cost to install. Now with the new Home Energy Renovation Opportunity (HERO) program, that doesn’t have to be a concern.
On September 22, 2015, HERO announced program availability in 25 additional communities, making HERO accessible to 360,000 additional housing units across California! This includes 23 cities and two counties. With this latest addition, 78% of Golden State households can now use HERO to lower their utility bills while helping the environment.
