Great news! The HERO Program has recently launched in the unincorporated areas of California’s Contra Costa County, making our unique financing option for home efficiency upgrades available to over 12 million housing units in the state of California.
This latest addition means that a whopping 87% of Golden State households can now save water, energy, and money with our PACE financing (Property Assessed Clean Energy) program.
So far, we have funded more than 75,000 residential energy efficiency, renewable, and water conservation projects in the state of California, totaling more than $1.5 billion in financing. This also has served to create more than 13,400 jobs through these investments, resulting in a ripple effect when that money is then put back into the economy. Additionally, more than 2.7 million tons of CO2 will be offset and more than 4.6 billion gallons of water will be saved, making a big environmental impact as well!
Contra Costa County’s unincorporated communities include Bay Point, Alamo, Discovery Bay, El Sobrante, Blackhawk, and several other communities.
We’d like to extend a big thank you to these latest communities who have joined the PACE movement to help create an energy-efficient future!
