It’s always exciting to add more communities to the ever-growing list of those offering our HERO Program to homeowners – and today’s announcement is perhaps even more so since it includes additions in California as well as Missouri.
This latest launch means that homeowners in more than 240,000 additional California homes and 59,000 additional Missouri homes can now apply to finance their home efficiency upgrades with our innovative Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program.
HERO enables homeowners to reduce their energy bills by going solar or upgrading their HVAC, windows, doors, roofing, and more. Water-efficient and drought-resistant upgrades are also available in California. Learn more about how the program works and how it benefits homeowners.
The additional California communities include Belmont, Blue Lake, Doris, Etna, Fort Bragg, Fremont, Grass Valley, Half Moon Bay, Hillsborough, Isleton, Loyalton, Nevada City, Newark, Pacifica, Paradise, Point Arena, Portola Valley, Redding, San Leandro, San Luis Obispo, Sutter Creek, Tehama, Watsonville, Weed, Yreka, and Yuba City along with the unincorporated areas of Colusa and Shasta Counties.
The new Missouri communities to come on board include the city of Excelsior Springs in Clay County as well as Jefferson County Unincorporated.
All in all, this brings the total number of homes now able to use HERO to 9.5 million!
To date, HERO has funded more than 100,000 residential energy efficiency, renewable, and water conservation projects. This has equaled more than $2 billion in financing, with these investments helping to create more than 18,000 jobs.
