Western Riverside Council of Governments (WRCOG) has partnered with Renovate America, Inc. to offer the WRCOG HERO Program. The WRCOG HERO Program was launched in order to create jobs and reduce utility costs and greenhouse gas emissions. The WRCOG HERO Program provides homeowners with low cost HERO Financing for eligible energy and water efficient products and renewable energy systems. HERO Financing is repaid through an assessment on the property owner’s property tax bill over 5 to 20 years, depending on the useful life of the product(s).

Most contractors want to close more jobs. Contractors who register with the WRCOG HERO Program can offer this low cost, long term financing option to their customers. For most residential customers, you can get an approval for HERO Financing within 30 minutes.

You can participate in the WRCOG HERO Program by registering online and sending in the signed Contractor Participation Agreement and a W-9 form.

In order to be listed on the WRCOG HERO Program website, we require that your company attends one of the contractor orientation sessions hosted by the WRCOG HERO Program. For information on contractor orientation sessions, please download contact us.

Generally, new and permanently fixed energy and water saving products and renewable energy products are eligible for HERO Financing. Please see the Eligible Products section of the WRCOG HERO Program website to access a detailed product directory of products eligible for HERO Financing.
